Hooty Hoo! It's Banks' 1st Birthday!

Can I just say that I LOVE birthday parties? It is such a fantastic opportunity for spontaneous candid shots- not to mention colorful and vivid details like the one my precious buddy Banks had recently. It was like I had arrived in detail shot heaven! 

Jennifer is such an incredibly  talented person (and beautiful inside and out- see if you can find her baby sister below) and I think that she hit the jackpot when she became a mom and found a new outlet for her creativity~ I am already looking forward to Banks turning 2! I am sure that the party's already planned!

Welcome to the World Sweet Colt!

Precious Whitney and Dusty were thrilled to introduce us all to their first born, Colt.
He is such a sweet little boy and we are looking forward to watching him grow!!!
I've been so blessed to visit little Colt a couple of times and there will be more to come of this doll!

God is SO GOOD! My beautiful (inside and out) friend Kim, her husband Glenn and big brother John Parker have joyously welcomed Jacob Price into the world! They all appear in a previous maternity post. These shots were taken on the day of his birth while Uncle Barry and Cousins Lindsey and Aaron were visiting. (Someone really should consult with photographers when they decide to repaint hospital room walls and hang lighting, just saying.) Thanks Kim for allowing me to share in Jake's special day! We love you Baby

I have so many moments to post, but I really wanted to send a big THANK YOU to my biggest supporter!
I wouldn't have had the confidence to even start this little blog without her urging me to turn my love of the camera into something that other people could see (and giving me my first "real" job). Thank you Jennifer for always being so encouraging! It means the world to me, I hope I can return the favor some day!

I've been taking pictures since I was a VERY little girl, I took roll after roll of rocks,acorns, lizards and my Grandma Griffin's gardens! I am pretty sure no one was super excited to take those rolls to the Big-B for me!  THEN they gave me the Polaroid! That opened the door to unlimited requests for more of those precious boxes of film.

I've always loved the moment that I get to "see what I got". There's nothing better now than capturing the moment that means so much to the people in the pictures. I have SO MUCH to learn, and I hope that this blog will be my way of seeing how far I've come.

And to all of my friends who have so willingly turned their children and family moments over to me...from Ella Pickle's first birthday party, Wendy's little Emme's first birthday party last year, Banks' first birthday haircut and party, Kim's precious baby Jake's first photos, Grace and Hope- the most perfect models ever and my little friend Cooper's day in the park, thank you all!!! Looking forward to baby Colt, Grace and Ella Pickle and Emme's second birthday!

My buddy Banks invited me along for his 1st Birthday Haircut. We went to the cutest little Barber Shop at Baptist South. They are GREAT with babies!!! And Banks was such a trooper!
